Dr Chew Min Hoe is a general and colorectal surgeon at The Surgeons Clinic, in Orchard and Farrer Park.

Dr Chew specialises in minimally invasive laparoscopic surgery for colorectal cancers and advanced pelvic tumour surgery. He also has expertise in genetic counselling for hereditary colorectal cancer, advanced endoscopy, and perianal surgeries, including haemorrhoidectomy, fistula-in-ano, and anal fissures. He frequently collaborates with multidisciplinary teams for complex pelvic surgeries involving advanced gynaecological and urological cancers.

Dr Chew graduated from the National University of Singapore with a Bachelor of Medicine, Bachelor of Surgery in 2001, and a Master of Medicine in Surgery in 2006. He became a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2010 and completed his fellowship at the Royal Prince Alfred Hospital in Sydney, specialising in colorectal surgery.

With over 20 years of experience, Dr Chew has held prominent positions, including Head of the Department of Surgery and Division Chairman of Surgery at Sengkang General Hospital. He is an adjunct associate professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, and Duke-NUS Medical School. Dr Chew also serves on the Council of Surgeons and is the current President of the Singapore Colorectal Society.

Dr Chew has been recognised with several awards, including the Public Administration Medal (Bronze) in 2020, the Singapore Health Quality Service Award, and the SingHealth Excellence Award’s Distinguished Young Leader.
