Dr Chong Yew Luen Christopher

Dr Christopher Chong is an obstetrician & gynaecologist practising at Chris Chong Clinic in Orchard, specialising in urogynaecology.

He specialises in cystocele mesh repair surgery, laparoscopic surgery, pelvic floor reconstruction, and the Tension-free Vaginal Tape (TVT) sling procedure. Dr Chong also focuses on vaginal rejuvenation (vaginoplasty) and is an early adopter of mesh treatment for severe utero-vaginal prolapse and Botox injections for overactive bladder management. Since 1998, he and his team have performed over 10,000 sling surgeries with a success rate exceeding 90%.

Dr Chong's expertise extends to treating female genital cancers, sexual dysfunction, infertility, and other gynaecological conditions such as heavy periods, ovarian cysts, and uterine fibroids. He is also accredited by the Ministry of Health in reproductive medicine, offering in-vitro fertilisation (IVF) and intra-uterine insemination (IUI) treatments.

Previously, Dr Chong served as a visiting consultant at the Urogynae Centre at KK Women's and Children's Hospital and was a senior clinical lecturer. He has held significant positions including past Board of Directors at the International Urogynecological Association (IUGA) and is currently the president of the Singapore Urogynaecological Association and a founding board member of the Asia Pacific Urogynaecological Association.

Dr Chong has received numerous awards for his patient care and research and is a respected international speaker. Despite his extensive career, delivering babies remains his passion, with an estimated 10,000 deliveries since 1986. He is skilled in managing high-risk pregnancies, supported by an experienced team of neonatologists.

Dr Chong is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre and Gleneagles Hospital.
