Dr Claudia Chi is an obstetrician and gynaecologist practising at Dr Claudia Chi Women's Clinic, in Orchard. She specialises in antenatal care and maternal medicine. With over 20 years of experience, she is well-versed in managing complex and high-risk pregnancies, as well as medical disorders during pregnancy.

Dr Chi's formal training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology began in the UK, where she studied at prestigious institutions such as Imperial College London and the London Deanery. During her tenure, she served at several major acute teaching hospitals and busy district hospitals, working with women from diverse cultural backgrounds and assisting couples in achieving healthy pregnancies.

In 2013, Dr Chi relocated to Singapore, joining the Department of O&G at the National University Hospital (NUH). At NUH, she held the positions of Consultant and Assistant Professor and took on numerous leadership roles. As the Lead Clinician of the Delivery Suite, she implemented an obstetric safety plan and updated clinical protocols, emphasising quality care and patient safety. She also chaired the obstetrics risk management committee, earning several awards for her quality improvement projects.

Dr Chi's expertise in managing Gestational Diabetes (GDM) led to her role as Lead Discussant of an expert group under MOH's Agency for Care Effectiveness (ACE), where she helped develop the latest guidelines on GDM screening and management. Beyond clinical practice, she is actively involved in research, having published in numerous scientific journals and presented at both local and international conferences. She has also served as a reviewer for several peer-reviewed medical journals in the field of obstetrics and gynaecology.

A passionate educator, Dr Chi has mentored many O&G trainees and was a core faculty member of the O&G residency programme at NUH. She has taught medical students and served as an examiner for the MBBS O&G examination at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine. In 2019, Dr Chi transitioned to private practice to offer more personalised and dedicated care to her patients. Her approach to care is centred around personalised treatment, clear and honest communication, respect for women’s autonomy, and the prevention and management of health risks.

Dr Claudia Chi is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Elizabeth Hospital and Gleneagles Hospital.
