Dr Fong Kah Leng

Dr Fong Kah Leng is a Specialist in Obstetrics and Gynaecology at Clinic For Women Obs + Gynae, in Novena and Joo Chiat.

Dr Fong specialises in gynaecological cancers and vulvovaginal diseases, with a particular focus on colposcopy and the management of pre-invasive cervical and vulvovaginal conditions. She offers comprehensive outpatient services and surgeries, including pregnancy care and delivery, colposcopy, vulvoscopy, and treatment for pre-invasive cervical and vulvovaginal conditions. Dr Fong also manages common gynaecological issues such as uterine fibroids, ovarian cysts, menopause, endometriosis, and family planning, alongside performing hysteroscopy and laparoscopic surgeries.

Dr Fong graduated from the University of Glasgow in the United Kingdom. She holds full registration with both the Singapore Medical Council and the General Medical Council in the UK. She completed her postgraduate specialist training in obstetrics and gynaecology across hospitals in Glasgow (West of Scotland, UK), Sheffield (North Trent, UK), Auckland (New Zealand), and Singapore General Hospital.

Before moving to private practice, Dr Fong was actively involved in academia and teaching. She was a clinical physician faculty member in the SingHealth Obstetrics & Gynaecology Residency Programme and served as a clinical teacher and examiner at the Department of Obstetrics & Gynaecology, Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS. She also contributed as a trainer for the postgraduate Member of the Royal College of Obstetricians & Gynaecologists course.

Dr Fong's Doctor of Medicine thesis investigated a novel device for cervical cancer screening. She has presented her research on pre-invasive conditions of the lower genital tract at numerous national and international medical forums. Additionally, she was the Principal Investigator for a Phase III trial on the HPV vaccine. Dr Fong served as the Honorary Secretary of the Society for Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology of Singapore (SCCPS) and is a member of various professional societies. Her dedication to patient care has earned her awards such as the Excellence Service Award (EXSA) Gold and the Singapore Health Quality Service Silver Award.

Dr Fong Kah Leng is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, and Mount Alvernia Hospital.
