Dr Ida Ismail-Pratt is an Obstetrician & Gynaecologist specialising in colposcopy at The Obstetrics & Gynaecology Centre, in Novena, and Astra Women’s Specialists, in Tampines.

Dr Ida is an accredited colposcopist with both the British Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology (BSCCP) and the Society of Colposcopy and Cervical Pathology Singapore (SCCPS), where she currently serves as President. Dr Ida's areas of expertise include colposcopy, gynaecological cancer screening, HPV-related disease management, and comprehensive antenatal care.

Dr Ida graduated from Glasgow University in 1997 and obtained her specialist accreditation (MRCOG UK) in 2010. In recognition of her contributions to obstetrics and gynaecology, she was awarded the fellowship in RCOG (FRCOG UK) in October 2023.

Initially based in Scotland, Dr Ida moved to Singapore in 2013, joining the O&G Department at National University Hospital (NUH) as the lead colposcopist. There, she streamlined the colposcopy and gynaecological cancer screening services and introduced the HPV DNA test in 2014, making NUH the first hospital in Singapore to implement HPV Primary Screening. Her efforts led to her being elected Co-Chair for the Cervical Screen Singapore Implementation group, responsible for updating the national cervical cancer screening guidelines.

Internationally recognised for her expertise in HPV-related diseases, Dr Ida co-directs the International Gynaecology Cancer Society (IGCS) Preinvasive Certificate Program, training doctors worldwide, especially in low- and middle-income countries. She also leads the Project ECHO meetings for the International Papillomavirus Society (IPVS) and is a founding member of the Asia Pacific HPV Coalition, which aims to improve cervical cancer prevention in the region through research and advocacy.

Dr Ida Ismail-Pratt is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Elizabeth Novena Hospital, and Mount Alvernia Hospital.
