Dr Joanne Lee Shu Xian

Dr Joanne Lee Shu Xian is a Consultant Haematologist currently practising at the Centre for Clinical Haematology in Napier and Novena. Her practice focuses on lymphoma and haematopoietic stem cell transplantation. Her clinical services include the management of both benign haematological conditions such as coagulation disorders, bleeding complications and anaemia, and malignant conditions such as myeloma and leukaemia.

Dr Lee also works with autologous and allogeneic (related and unrelated donor) haematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy.

Dr Lee received her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degrees from the National University of Singapore. She is a Member of the Royal College of Physicians (MRCP) in the United Kingdom and has a Master of Medicine (Internal Medicine) from the National University of Singapore.

Dr Lee completed her specialist training in haematology and was awarded a Fellowship of the Royal College of Pathologists (FRCPath) in the United Kingdom. She is a registered specialist in haematology with the Medical Council of Singapore.

Dr Lee previously worked as a Consultant in the Division of Haematology, Department of Haematology-Oncology at the National University Cancer Institute, Singapore (NCIS). During her time at the National University Hospital, she was the Lymphoma Group Leader and a member of the Haematopoietic Stem Cell Transplantation Group. Dr Lee trained in haematopoietic stem cell transplantation and cellular therapy at the Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre in New York.

In addition to his clinical work, Dr Lee is an assistant professor at the Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, National University of Singapore, and programme director for the National Haematology Senior Residency Integrated Programme. She has also authored research papers on haematological malignancies, treatment outcomes, and genetic mutations in cancer.

Dr Lee is accredited to perform haematology procedures at the Thomson Medical Centre.
