Dr Julianah Abu

Dr Julianah Abu is a Senior Consultant Obstetrician and Gynaecologist, as well as the Director at International Urology, Fertility, and Gynaecology Centre located at Orchard.

Dr Abu provides services in obstetrics, gynaecology, and assisted reproduction. Her practice includes in-vitro fertilisation (IVF), male fertility management, menopausal care, and treatment of urinary stress incontinence, vaginal laxity, and uterine prolapse.

She completed her Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery at the National University of Singapore in 1990. She then proceeded to obtain her post-graduate qualifications including MRACOG (Australia) and MMed O&G (Singapore) in 1996, followed by MRCOG (London) in 1997. Additionally, she completed a Master's in Clinical Embryology from the National University of Singapore in 2000.

Her previous roles include being a consultant at Singapore General Hospital's Centre of Assisted Reproduction (CARE) until 2004. During her period at SGH, she established the joint Gynaecology-Urology Male Fertility Service there which provides combined care for couples seeking fertility treatment. In 2007, she worked as an IVF consultant at Jerudong Medical Centre in Brunei.

She has received scholarships from the Ministry of Education and the Public Service Commission, the Prime Minister's Book Prize, and the Mendaki Student Award. She worked as a research associate at the Cryobiology Research Institute at the Methodist Hospital of Indiana, USA (1994-1995).

Dr Julianah Abu is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
