Dr Kelvin Tan Guoping is a Senior Consultant Orthopaedic Surgeon at Singapore Sports and Orthopaedic Clinic, located in Napier.

His practice focuses on hip and knee surgeries, including joint replacements, complex hip reconstruction, and sports-related procedures. He performs surgical procedures including primary and revision hip and knee joint replacements, complex hip reconstruction for conditions such as hip dysplasia, and trauma surgeries including peri-prosthetic fracture fixation. Dr Tan also provides robotic-assisted joint replacement services, like Mako Robotic-assisted joint replacements (MAKOplasty).

Dr Tan received his medical degree from the National University of Singapore. He completed his postgraduate specialist training in Orthopaedic Surgery and obtained his Fellowship from the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2015. He furthered his training through an international orthopaedic fellowship in Brisbane, Australia, focusing on hip and knee conditions.

Before entering private practice, he was the Head of Adult Reconstruction/Joint Replacement unit and Senior Consultant at Tan Tock Seng Hospital (TTSH), where he practised for over 15 years. At TTSH, he led the Knee Replacement Clinical Pathway and served as Clinical Lead of the Enhanced Recovery After Surgery (ERAS) Knee Replacement Taskforce for both TTSH and the National Healthcare Group.

Dr Tan serves as an Adjunct Assistant Professor at NUS and has been involved in teaching as a core clinical faculty member of NHG's orthopaedic residency programme. He examines for NUS and LKC Medical school undergraduates as well as Orthopaedic Master of Medicine. He currently chairs the Singapore Arthroplasty Society and represents Singapore at various conferences. His research work has been published in international peer-reviewed medical journals.
