Dr Lim Min Yu is an Obstetrician and Gynaecologist currently practising at Dr Lim Min Yu Clinic for Women in Novena.

Dr Lim is renowned for his expertise in assisted reproductive techniques and gynae-laparoscopic surgery. As an esteemed Fertility Specialist with over a decade of experience, Dr Lim has been instrumental in helping couples realise their dreams of starting a family. He is accredited by the Singapore Ministry of Health as an IVF Specialist.

Dr Lim graduated from the University of Glasgow and completed his specialist training in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (O&G) in Scotland. With a career spanning more than 12 years in NHS Scotland from 1998 to 2010, he subsequently returned to Singapore, where he served as a Consultant and Assistant Professor at the Department of O&G in the National University Hospital (NUH). In 2018, he was honoured with a Fellowship of the Royal College of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (FRCOG).

Dr Lim is actively engaged in cutting-edge research in reproductive medicine. He is a co-investigator in three ongoing studies, focusing on preimplantation genetic screening, time-lapse monitoring for embryo selection, and chromosome copy number analysis. These studies aim to improve IVF success rates and reduce the incidence of miscarriages.

Dr Lim has been invited to speak at numerous conferences since 2012. His most recent presentation in 2023, titled “Elective Egg Freezing: Evidence, Guidelines, and Controversies,” highlights his commitment to advancing knowledge in reproductive health. Additionally, Dr Lim has contributed significantly to academic literature, including book chapters on topics such as "Sexually Transmitted Diseases and Pelvic Inflammatory Disease" and "Female Infertility" in the book “Integrated Approach to Obstetrics and Gynaecology.” He has also published various posters, abstracts, peer-reviewed papers, and articles.

Currently, Dr Lim serves as a Visiting Consultant at NUH and has held several notable leadership positions, including President of the Obstetrical and Gynaecological Society of Singapore and Chairperson of RCOG’s Singapore International Representative Committee. He also chaired the O&G Specialty Interest Group at Gleneagles Hospital.

With a consultative approach, Dr Lim collaborates closely with his patients to develop personalised plans for fertility and pregnancy, ensuring their specific needs are met.
