Dr Maciej Piotr Chlebecki is a specialist in internal medicine with a sub-specialty in infectious diseases at Outram.

As an infectious disease specialist, Dr Chlebecki manages a range of medical conditions including community-acquired infections, hospital-acquired infections, HIV/AIDS, and sepsis. He provides consultation services in both general internal medicine and infectious disease management.

His medical education commenced at the Medical Academy of Warsaw, Poland, where he obtained his MBBS in 1993. After completing his residency in Internal Medicine in the United States, he received certification from the American Board of Internal Medicine in 1999. He further advanced his expertise through Advanced Specialty Training in Internal Medicine (2003) and Infectious Diseases (2005) in Singapore.

In his first appointment, Dr Chlebecki served as an Infectious Diseases Consultant at Changi General Hospital. He then went on to serve as Senior Consultant in the Department of Infectious Diseases at Singapore General Hospital (SGH), where he directed the Antibiotic Stewardship Unit. After a brief period in private practice until 2021, he returned to public healthcare service at Changi General Hospital.

Dr Chlebecki has contributed to medical education as an Associate Professor at Duke-NUS Medical School and Senior Clinical Lecturer at the National University of Singapore. His research interests focus on the prevention and treatment of infections caused by multi-drug resistant bacteria. He has authored numerous research papers in peer-reviewed medical journals and has served on several professional committees, including the National Antimicrobial Resistance Control Committee and SingHealth Infection Control and Prevention Workgroup.
