Dr Michele Chia Xin Yi

Dr Michele Chia is an endodontist at Thomson Specialist Dentistry.

Dr Chia graduated with honours from the National University of Ireland. Subsequently, she obtained her Master of Clinical Dentistry with Distinction in Endodontology from King's College London. That same year, she was admitted as a Member of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh. She is also an active member of the Society of Endodontics Singapore.

Dr Chia's special interest is in Endodontics — a branch of dentistry concerned with diseases and injuries of the dental pulp and surrounding structures. She is well-versed in using microscopic endodontic and microsurgical techniques to save teeth with infected root canals, and manage persistent infections and cracked teeth.

Additionally, Dr Chia has a keen interest in the management of traumatic dental injuries. During her Endodontics Postgraduate Residency Training Program, she served on the dental trauma service team at King's College Hospital — one of London's major trauma centres — where she provided emergency dental care and long-term follow-up and rehabilitation for trauma patients.
