Dr Shivani Manohara

Dr Shivani Manohara is an anaesthesiologist sub-specialising in neuroanaesthesia. She currently practises at T.A. Medical Clinic at Orchard Gateway.

Dr Shivani provides anaesthetic care for patients undergoing neurosurgical procedures including neuro-oncology, complex spine surgeries, neuroradiology (including interventional MRI), and combined ENT/skull base surgeries. She also offers expertise in regional anaesthesia techniques, including peripheral nerve blocks that can be utilised for pain management in the perioperative period.

Dr Shivani completed her medical training at the National University of Singapore (NUS), graduating in 2006. She subsequently obtained her Master of Medicine (Anaesthesiology) from NUS in 2013. Her subspecialty training in Neuroanaesthesia was completed through a fellowship at the National Hospital for Neurology and Neurosurgery, part of the University College London Hospitals Trust in the United Kingdom, from 2018 to 2019.

Prior to her current practice, Dr Shivani served as a specialist anaesthetist at Changi General Hospital (CGH) from 2015. During her time at CGH, she was involved in the Spine Value-Driven Outcome team, implementing initiatives to enhance perioperative care for elective spine surgical patients. She also participated in the hospital's outreach service, supporting the surgical ICU team with the management of critically ill patients and facilitating smooth transitions of care for post-SICU discharge patients.

Dr Shivani approaches each case with the goal of providing care to help patients recover after surgery. She has contributed as faculty for regional anaesthesia workshops both locally and regionally, sharing her knowledge and techniques with colleagues in the field. When not attending to patients, Dr Shivani enjoys reading and travelling.
