Dr Teo Yeng Hok Alvin is a consultant anaesthesiologist and intensivist practising at Integrative Critical Care Anaesthesia & Pain Services in Novena. He specialises in Intensive Care Medicine.

Dr Teo’s clinical expertise encompasses a range of areas. He has a particular focus on ultrasonography in critically ill patients and the management of Extracorporeal Membrane Oxygenation (ECMO) therapy. He is also skilled in the care of complex critically ill patients and is deeply committed to medical education.

He graduated with an MBBS from the Faculty of Medicine, National University of Singapore in 1998. Dr Teo further advanced his qualifications with a Master of Medicine in Anaesthesiology in 2003 and was awarded Fellowship of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists (FANZCA) in 2005.

Dr Teo’s strong interest in Intensive Care Medicine led him to achieve Fellowship of the Joint Faculty of Intensive Care Medicine in 2009, a collaborative body of the Australian and New Zealand College of Anaesthetists and the Royal Australasian College of Physicians. He was also admitted as a Foundation Fellow of the College of Intensive Care Medicine of Australia and New Zealand (CICM) in 2010. Additionally, Dr Teo holds the European Diploma in Intensive Care Medicine and the Diploma of Diagnostic Ultrasound (DDU) in Critical Care from the Australasian Society for Ultrasound in Medicine.

He is a highly experienced adult anaesthesiologist and intensivist, registered with both the Singapore Medical Council and the Medical Board of Australia. Dr Teo completed his training at leading tertiary referral centres, including the National University Hospital in Singapore and The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia.

Prior to establishing his private practice, Dr Teo held several prominent roles. He served as a Consultant Intensivist at The Alfred Hospital in Melbourne, Australia, and was an Adjunct Senior Lecturer at the Department of Epidemiology and Preventive Medicine at Monash University, Melbourne. In Singapore, he was a Visiting Consultant at both the Department of Anaesthesia and Surgical Intensive Care at the National University Health System and the Department of Anaesthesia and Intensive Care at Jurong General Hospital.

Dr Teo actively participates in educational initiatives, leads workshops at conferences, and is frequently invited to speak at both local and regional events. His dedication to advancing the fields of anaesthesia and intensive care medicine is reflected in his comprehensive approach to patient care and his contributions to physician education.

Dr Teo is accredited to performing surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Alvernia Hospital, and Mount Elizabeth Medical Centre.
