Dr Lee was admitted as a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons (Edinburgh) in 2007, joining the National University of Singapore as Associate Consultant and Assistant Professor in the very same year. Between 2008 and 2009, he trained at the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh, UK, in liver, kidney, and pancreas transplant and complex hepatobiliary pancreatic surgery before returning to the National University Hospital as a Consultant Surgeon in 2009. Dr Lee was conferred Assistant Professor, Duke-NUS Graduate Medical School in 2012 and the Director of Centre for Digestive & Liver Disease from 2013 to 2015 before entering private practice in 2015. 

Dr Lee is well versed in minimally invasive techniques such as laparoscopy for gallbladder and hernia surgeries while even offering microwave ablation for patients who are unsuitable for open surgeries.
