What are uterine fibroids?

Uterine fibroids, or myomas, are non-cancerous growths that develop on the inside of the uterus, within the muscle wall or the outer surface of the uterus. They can cause a variety of symptoms such as heavy menstrual bleeding, pelvic pain, and reproductive challenges. Uterine fibroids are surprisingly common, affecting up to 70-80% of women by the age of 50.

What are polps?

Polyps are non-cancerous growths that typically develop from the endometrium (the tissue lining the uterus), the cervical canal, or rarely the vagina itself. These small, soft tissue growths often resemble small berries on a thin stalk and can cause symptoms such as irregular or heavy menstrual bleeding, spotting between periods, and occasionally pelvic pain.
