Dr. Toh Ee-Lin is a Senior Consultant Colorectal and General Surgeon with over 16 years of clinical experience, currently practising at EL Toh Colorectal Surgery Clinic in Novena.Her expertise encompasses a wide range of conditions, including benign colorectal issues such as haemorrhoids, anal fistula, fissures, inflammatory bowel disease, and symptoms like constipation, changes in bowel habits, and rectal bleeding. Dr. Toh performs screening colonoscopies and offers surgical treatments for colorectal cancer, including complex procedures such as pelvic exenteration. Additionally, she manages general surgical conditions such as appendicitis, abdominal hernias, and various soft tissue masses.She earned her medical degree from the National University of Singapore in 2005 and completed her general surgical training at Singapore General Hospital. Under her leadership, the unit has successfully conducted over 100 cases and has organized webinars to share their expertise with the surgical community.Recognizing the importance of patient empowerment and emotional support, Dr. Toh collaborated with the National University of Singapore to develop a mobile application aimed at providing patients and caregivers with valuable knowledge and psychosocial support throughout the cancer diagnosis, treatment, and recovery process. Her dedication to patient care is reflected in the numerous service quality awards she has received.In addition to her clinical work, Dr. Toh was actively involved in the mobile medical team deployed to dormitories during the early stages of the COVID-19 pandemic and has participated in global outreach projects, including those in Myanmar. With over a decade of experience as a Breast Radiologist, Dr Chotai is highly regarded for her expertise in breast imaging.Dr Chotai's medical journey began with an MD in Radiodiagnosis from King Edward Memorial Hospital, Mumbai University, followed by a Diplomate from the National Board in Delhi, India. After practising as a consultant radiologist for five years in India, she pursued her FRCR from the Royal College of Radiology in the UK. She further advanced her skills by completing advanced specialist training (AST) in Singapore and a breast imaging fellowship at the University of Toronto, Canada.Dr Chotai is an active member of several prestigious societies, including the Singapore Medical Council, the Royal College of Radiology, London, and the Maharashtra Medical Council, India. She has played a significant role in continued medical education, particularly in the breast imaging subsection of the Singapore Radiology Society, where she served as General Secretary from 2017 to 2019. She is also the co-founder and Director at Best Imaging Education and Diagnostics (BIEDX).In addition to her clinical practice, Dr Chotai is deeply involved in research and has published extensively in peer-reviewed journals.
