Dr Leslie Ang Pek Seng

Dr Leslie Ang Pek Seng is an Ophthalmologist at Shinagawa Eye Centre, in Orchard. Dr Ang specialises in retinal conditions and vitreoretinal surgery, including procedures for retinal detachments, myopic diseases, and diabetic eye disease. With over 15 years of experience, he is highly regarded in his field.

Dr Ang completed two fellowships in vitreoretinal surgery, including one at the esteemed Royal Victorian Eye and Ear Hospital in Melbourne, Australia. These fellowships spanned almost two years and provided him with advanced training in his subspecialty.

Before transitioning to private practice, Dr Ang held several key administrative roles in public institutions. He was a member of the hospital Mortality & Morbidity Audit Committee and an advocate for patient safety, contributing to both the Patient Safety Committee and the Patient Safety Workgroup.

Dr Ang is also passionate about medical education. He served as a clinical tutor at the National University of Singapore (NUS) and Nanyang Technological University (NTU) and was an MBBS examiner for NUS. His dedication to teaching earned him the Dean’s Excellence Award, recognising his outstanding contributions to education.
