Dr Loh Jia Shen is a distinguished Infectious Diseases Specialist currently practising at Infectious Disease Specialists@Farrer.

Dr Loh specialises in infectious diseases, with clinical interests spanning tuberculosis, COVID-19 treatment, travel medicine, hospital-acquired infections, prosthesis and implant-related infections, community infections, vaccinations, sexually transmitted diseases, HIV medicine, and infections in immunocompromised patients.

Dr Loh graduated from the National University of Singapore in 2008 with an MBBS degree and completed his internal medicine residency in 2011. He further advanced his expertise by obtaining an MRCS from Ireland and a Master of Medicine (MRCP) in June 2011. In 2016, Dr Loh completed his advanced training in infectious diseases at Tan Tock Seng Hospital, solidifying his expertise in this specialty.

In 2016, Dr Loh joined Sengkang General Hospital as its first infectious diseases specialist. During his tenure, he was instrumental in establishing the hospital’s HIV service and antibiotic stewardship programme while providing comprehensive consult services in infectious diseases.

After moving into private practice in 2021, Dr Loh continued his clinical work in both private hospitals and COVID-19 treatment facilities, where he managed a wide range of infectious disease conditions, including community-acquired infections, hospital and device-related infections, and travel-related infections such as malaria and sexually transmitted infections.
