Dr Ng Shan Yi Shanna is a certified dermatologist who subspecialises in paediatric dermatology and eczema. She runs her own practice ARK Dermatology located at Thomson.
Dr Ng provides dermatological care across various areas, with particular attention to paediatric skin conditions and eczema management. She offers medical dermatology services including the treatment of common skin conditions, eczema care, and paediatric dermatological consultations.
Her medical education was completed at the University of Melbourne, followed by her clinical rotations at St Vincent's Hospital. She returned to Singapore to pursue her career in Dermatology, completing her Advanced Specialist Training at the National Skin Centre and Changi General Hospital. In 2015, she received the Eastern Health Alliance Human Manpower Development Program (HMDP) Fellowship, which allowed her to undertake subspecialty training in Paediatric Dermatology at the University of Miami Miller School of Medicine in the USA.
Before entering private practice, Dr Ng served as a Consultant at Changi General Hospital and held the position of Clinical Assistant Professor with the SingHealth Duke-NUS Medicine Academic Clinical Program. She has participated as Principal and Sub-investigator in clinical trials studying biologics for atopic dermatitis.
Dr Ng has contributed to several academic publications, including the textbooks Pediatric Dermatology 4th edition, Atlas of Asian Pediatric Dermatology, and Pediatric Skin of Color. She served as Treasurer of the Dermatological Society of Singapore from 2022 to 2024.
Dr Ng is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Changi General Hospital and Mount Alvernia Hospital.
