Dr Han Fucai is an orthopaedic surgeon practising at Ace International Orthopaedic Centre (Novena). He has over 16 years of experience and has performed more than 5,000 orthopaedic surgeries.

Dr Han specialises in a broad range of surgical techniques, including keyhole surgery, joint preservation surgery, and joint replacement surgery for knee, hip, shoulder, and elbow joints. His primary interests lie in complex sports and joint preservation surgery for knee and shoulder joints, encompassing procedures such as cartilage repair and restoration, osteotomies, multi-ligament reconstructions, revision ACL reconstruction, complex meniscus tears/meniscus transplant, shoulder fracture dislocations, and massive rotator cuff tears.

Dr Han obtained his medical degree from the National University of Singapore (NUS) and was awarded a Ministry of Health training scholarship for his orthopaedic training, which included two years of subspecialty overseas fellowship training. He is one of a few orthopaedic surgeons who has completed three international fellowships across North America, the UK, and Europe, gaining expertise in three subspecialty areas: 1) sports orthopaedics and arthroscopy, 2) joint reconstruction/preservation, and 3) fracture surgery.

Prior to his current private practice, Dr Han held leadership positions as the head of the Division of Sports Surgery and Medicine, as well as the Division of Shoulder and Elbow Surgery at Ng Teng Fong General Hospital.

Beyond his clinical work, he serves as a clinical lecturer and adjunct assistant professor at Yong Loo Lin School of Medicine, NUS, maintaining a keen interest in research and teaching. He has published papers in peer-reviewed journals and book chapters on orthopaedic surgery, and is frequently invited as a speaker and faculty member for international conferences and courses.

Dr Han's expertise extends to treating competitive athletes across various sports, including football, rugby, martial arts, softball, and floorball. He holds a Fédération Internationale de Football Association (FIFA) diploma in football medicine.

Dr Han is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre, Mount Elizabeth Hospital, and Farrer Park Hospital.
