Dr Lim Siew Kuan

Dr Lim Siew Kuan is a breast surgeon currently practising at Solis Breast Care and Surgery Centre in Novena. Dr Lim has a special interest in breast surgery and manages both benign and malignant breast conditions.

Dr Lim completed her medical degree and Masters of Medicine (Surgery) at the National University of Singapore (NUS). She further honed her expertise in General Surgery, becoming a Fellow of the Royal College of Surgeons of Edinburgh in 2011.

In 2013, Dr Lim was awarded the Human Manpower Development Programme scholarship, which allowed her to pursue subspecialty training at the Center for Breast Cancer, National Cancer Center in Korea. During this fellowship, she gained in-depth knowledge of the latest advancements in breast cancer management, including Breast Oncoplastic and Reconstructive Surgery.

Dr Lim is among the few breast surgeons in Singapore proficient in Breast Oncoplastic Surgery, a specialised technique that combines tumour removal with plastic surgery to preserve the aesthetic appearance of the breast. She has further advanced her skills through observerships at prestigious hospitals in Korea and Japan, including Yonsei Severance Hospital, Kameda Medical Center, and Nakagami Hospital, where she trained in minimally invasive breast surgery and both partial and full breast reconstruction.

Beyond her clinical practice, Dr Lim is a dedicated advocate for medical outreach in developing countries. She has participated in numerous medical missions and continues to be active in providing essential medical care in the region.

Additionally, Dr Lim is involved in research, with her work being presented at international conferences and published in various medical journals.

Dr Lim is accredited to perform surgical procedures at Thomson Medical Centre.
